Transfer Orientation

For transfer students admitted into the EEB sponsored majors, here are your next steps, and what to expect:

1.  Beginning in July (for Fall transfer students) EEB Advising will review your reported transfer course work and determine how it applies to your EEB major's requirements.
EEB Advising will contact you via email before your enrollment appointment in August.  The email will include information on how your transfer coursework fulfills major requirements.  We will suggest courses for your Fall enrollment, and invite you to make an appointment to talk with your EEB undergraduate adviser.

2.  Make an appointment to talk to with your EEB undergraduate adviser.
Your email will include instructions on how to  schedule an advising appointment.  Appointments are available either by phone or in person.  You will be able to discuss and develop your academic plan, review your major requirements, learn about special opportunities available to you as an EEB major and ways you can get involved.  You will also have the opportunity to ask your adviser any additional questions you may have.

4.  Attend orientation.
Admissions hosts an online transfer student orientation during the summer that provides you with an opportunity to  familiarize yourself with the campus and the available resources.  The Fall EEB Department Orientation includes a faculty presentation on the EEB majors, an overview of the courses offered, and details on how to get involved in undergraduate research.

5.  Review sample transfer academic planner for your major:

Ecology and Evolution BS
Marine Biology BS
