Transfer of Courses: Other Universities

Courses from other Universities must be reviewed by faculty to determine if they can fulfill your EEB major requirements.   Have your course(s) reviewed prior to taking them.

Faculty review, known as "Articulation", can take 2-4 weeks to process. Do not wait until the last minute to submit your request.

1. Obtain a copy of the course description and syllabus for the course.
The syllabus should include a week-by-week list of lecture topics, the textbook used, and how student performance is evaluated.  If you are not able to locate the syllabus, please contact the department sponsoring the course at the other university offering the course.

2. Complete an Articulation Form.

3. Determine if there is a similar course taught here at UCSC. If you believe there is a similar course, indicate that course on the articulation form, otherwise leave this section blank..

4. Submit this material to EEB Advising via email.  Do not submit your request directly to faculty.
Materials can be submitted as hard copies if electronic copies are not available.

Your requested articulation will be reviewed by a faculty member and you will be emailed by EEB Advising of the results.

If approved, you must complete the course with a C (2.0) to use the course to fulfill EEB major requirements.  Grade of C- are not accepted.
